2007 Philadelphia “Businesswoman of the Year”

Catona, president and CEO of Retriever Waste Management, has been selected by Office Depot, a leading global provider of office products and services, as the recipient of the 2007 Office Depot “Businesswoman of the Year” Award. The award was be presented at 12:00pm on April 25, 2007, at the Office Depot “Success Strategies for Businesswomen” conference at the Union League in Philadelphia .

Catona is a pioneer in the field of waste and recycling management. In 1990, Catona became the first woman in the United States to own and operate a national waste and recycling brokerage. Catona's insights and methods in the field of waste management have had a marked impact on the industry.
