The award was presented earlier this year in Harrisburg , PA at a ceremony presided over by Governor Edward G. Rendell

Catona is a pioneer in the field of waste and recycling management. In 1990, Catona became the first woman in the United States to own and operate a national waste and recycling brokerage. Catona's insights and methods in the field of waste management have had a marked impact on the industry. Retriever Waste Management's loyal client base spans the market from single location “mom-and-pop” shops to national retail and restaurant chains.
